PTO Happenings

Dear Parents,
Our PTO has partnered with several PTOs throughout PLSD to organize the carnival games for Pickerington’s Bicentennial Celebration from Sept. 5th-7th. This activity will be a great fundraiser for our schools, as well as a perfect opportunity to get involved with our community!
We are in need of volunteers for the carnival to be a success, and we would so appreciate your assistance. We are especially in need of adult volunteers. Student volunteers must be junior high age or above to volunteer alone; however, younger students are welcome to volunteer along with a parent or guardian. PTO Fundraising Goal

We met our goal for the PTO’s fall fundraiser.  Our goal was to have fifty percent of our class participate in the Yankee Candle fundraiser.  To recognize this achievement we will Sharpen Our Saws with fifteen minutes of extra recess time.  Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and our wonderful PTO.

Fall Festival

Heritage’s Annual Fall Festival is Wednesday October 15. This is a fun event for the students every year and our wonderful PTO has worked to make sure it happens again this year. Permission slips went home on Friday, each child will need a permission slip in order to attend fall festival. If you did not receive one please let me know and I will get you a new copy. The slips and the $5.00 fee will need to be returned to school no later than October 13th.

Our fabulous PTO can not make fall festival happen without help. If you are able to volunteer your time that day they are looking for volunteers. Please click the link below to sign up to help with this fun day!

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

Last week, we kicked off our PTO Yankee Candle Fundraiser! This is our main fundraising event for the year.  We have a classroom goal for at least ½ of our class to participate in our fundraiser. That means we are looking for 11 students to sell at least one or more candles. We are tracking each student who is participating in this fantastic effort. We truly are fortunate to have such an amazing and supportive PTO. They bring so many wonderful experiences to our students such as the Fall Festival, special assemblies, field trips, carnival, FUN DAY, supplies for our classroom and MUCH MUCH MORE!! Please show your support by checking with  your family and friends to buy some Yankee Candles!

Heritage PTO Rocks!

Please mark your calendars for Heritage PTO’s first meeting.  It will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 6:00PM.

The Heritage PTO provides funds, programs, resources, and services that enrich and maximize the education of every child at Heritage.  Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of programs and events.  Please consider helping the PTO.

Last year the Heritage PTO funded the following projects for the second graders at Heritage:  purchased a copy of Charlotte’s Web for every student for our class book study of this classic children’s book; provided $150 in funds for me to obtain additional classroom resources; funded a hands-on fossils assembly presented by the Cincinnati Museum; and purchased chair pockets to help keep us organized and ready to learn.
